Francis Ford Coppola Hires Chateau Margaux Winemaker -- The Telegraph
Francis Ford Coppola, the film director, has lured a prominent French winemaker from Chateau Margaux, to help reinvigorate his California winery.
The Godfather and Apocalypse Now director aims to make his estate in Napa Valley the finest in the US for the production of Old World wines.
He has hired wine expert Phillipe Bascaules, an argicultural engineer who has worked at the Chateau Margaux in Bordeaux for more than 20 years. He will now take charge of the 2011 harvest at the estate in Rutherford.
Coppola, who described Mr Bascaules' appointment as a "dream come true", said he was not concerned about his new hire's lack of English.

My Comment: Some of best wines that I have ever tasted came from Chateau Margaux .... and yes they are expensive. But damn .... their good. This story was posted last year, but if Ford Coppola is going this direction .... kudos to him.
